Should Alcohol and Energy Drinks Mix? 06/30/2010
The Lansing State Journal's Alisha Green recently published an article that explains the conflict some are having over the sale of premixed alcohol and energy drinks. Carbonated alcoholic beverages such as Joose and Four Loko have become popular amongst college-aged drinkers and is creating growing concern about the health risks attached to such a mixture. Alisha Green's article goes on to explain that certain groups are actually pushing to ban the sale of said drinks in Michigan and the manufacturer's response to said groups accusations. Add Comment The Wall Street Journal's Daniel Orkent recently published an article on his favorite books on all things alcohol. A man of few words, Daniel provides us with a short book flap-style blurb on five booze related books. What books does he find intriguing? For more information and a little about the books check out his article Here. To hold you over until you get there here are the titles Orkent recognizes as the best books on alcohol:
Miller High Life announced early this week that they will be working in tandem with Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America to provide war veterans with "High Life" experiences. These experiences, according to Miller High Life's press release, will vary from providing veterans with tickets to a professional sports game to outdoor excursions throughout the summer. Veterans also have the opportunity to sign up for special "High Life" adventures MHL's examples of which were learning to fly fish with a professional angler or maybe throw the first pitch at a baseball game. So what does it take to give a veteran a taste of the High Life? Not Much. Consumers, that's us, simply need to return specially marked Miller High Life and Miller High Life Light bottle caps and can tabs to participating retailers or via the mail. In doing so you donate ten cents to Miller High Life's program to show veterans the "High Life". Want more information? Check out Miller High Life's Website Or if you are an Iraq or Afghanistan veteran and would like more information on qualifying for "High Life" experiences head over to IAVA's homepage. ![]() July is official Beer Month in Michigan!
