The Brewers Association has released the 2010 Beer Style Guidelines which is updated every year. This year's can describe 140 different styles of beer, at least four categories have been added including American-style porters and American-style India Black Ales.
The annually released guidelines have been the Brewers Association's responsibility since 1979 and are a physical depiction of craft brewers growth in the U.S.
